Plastic

Plastic

Plastic is an organic material, like wood, paper and others, made in lab, and comes mainly from oil and in a small part from coal, natural gas, pulp and common salt. Thanks to its lightness, flexibility, resistance to microorganisms, and for some types compatible with food, it is used in industry, transport and packaging.       It is easy to understand that there are several types of plastic depending on the chemical/physical composition, each of them associated with a recognition mark. Some examples are: ABS: acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene resin HDPE: high density polyethylene PE: polyethylene PC: polycarbonate PP: polypropylene PET: polyethylene terephthalate PVC: polyvinylchloride PS: polystyrene
